I'm trying to get files from Isolated Storage. It used to work fine, and suddenly stopped (same phone, same version of power tools).
In Isolated Storage, the app refuses to open, Power Tools throws me an exception. Tried rebooting phone and PC, no luck.

Exception is SmartDeviceException: Unspecified Error

Comments: I've never seen this before and this error comes directly from the COM layer. Do other parts of the tool work (obviously some do since I see an app list). How about the command line isostore explorer that comes with the SDK?

When I have the device is connected, the drop-down box is empty..

I'm having some problems with Power Tools for Windows Phone 8 platform since yesterday. Suddenly it stopped working and when I try to install it again I get an error saying that I need a System Update and I require the assembly Microsoft.Web.Infrastructure Version 1.0.0.0 install in GAC. Don't know how to do that..

This also occurred to other two colleagues of mine. Do you have a solution for this?
Comments: Was there a solution to this issue? I am having the same exact problem, I uninstalled WPPT but still get the same message regarding the assembly to be installed in GAC when doing a fresh install. This is on a Windoww 8 machine (not VM) with Visual Studio Express 2012 and Windows phone SDK 8.0 installed.

Comments: @nachmore - in https://wptools.codeplex.com/workitem/25 I said that I don't know what to uninstall or how, since I never have had this application installed - the installer fails and aborts due to this error so I never have gotten the app installed.

Comments: Can you guys try explicitly uninstalling and reinstalling the tools from the web? I pushed a version last week that should have had the dependency removed but the launcher will fail before checking for the update. The dll dependency came from a different library that I use, which I updated. There is nothing I can do in the installer to combat this, but I have double checked the manifests and there is no reference to the library anywhere.

Comments: I have the same problem. No device connected for me. Restarting Visual Studio did help. For me, this problem happened after installing profiler.

Using the standard settings and a release build of my app. PROC_THREAD is checked.

It shows "Thread -1" with no content. Most of the other stuff seems to have data in it.

- This is on WP8, HTC 8X, a release build for 'Any'

Comments: Happened to me, too. After restarting Visual Studio and the power tools the list re-appeared. Might have been something else, though. Happens in elevated and non-elevated mode.

Comments: "Workaround": After installing __WebMatrix__ ( http://www.microsoft.com/web/?wa=wsignin1.0 ) and __Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web__ ( http://www.asp.net/mvc ) all missing dependencies seem to be resolved. (Maybe it is sufficient to just install Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web) However it would be nice if the Windows Phone Power Tools Installer could make sure that the missing dependencies "microsoft.web.infrastructure" and "system.web.mvc" are resolved.
